Valentine Downtown Los Angeles Wedding
This day was unforgettable because it was my first taste of understanding that a wedding day can look however you want it to. It should reflect who you are as people. You donβt have to follow any rules or fit into a box. For me, this was both refreshing and inspiring to see people doing things their own way.
Alex is a talented photographer and Michael is a musician with work that includes composing the music for the Netflix hit show Stranger Things. Together they are a force to be reckoned with. I knew that this day would be magical and it was. The Valentine is a photographerβs dreamland with skylights, plants and murals. These elements were complemented by tons of soft pastels and dried florals. A + M got ready separately in their own home and then had a sweet first look in the backyard.
In true Stranger Things fashion, eerie synth music played throughout the venue all day as well as during the ceremony processional. The vibes were a surreal mix of coastal meets occult. The entire wedding party wore a mixture of white linen and handmaid metal jewelry from Affect Metals.
The ceremony was non-traditional, short and sweet and the couple whispered their own vows. I liked that they kept it just between the two of them. Regardless of there being a standard sized guest list, it still felt so intimate and sweet and I think that says a lot about them and how much thought they put into the details. Thank you so much for bringing me to LA and trusting me with your wedding day.
