Wildflower Wedding in the Texas Hill Country
A Texas Spring inspired wedding for the bride who loves the outdoors and spends most of her time in her garden. She also works for Petals, Ink., so I knew the florals would be incredible.
The wind was crazy but the weather was gorgeous. At one point during the ceremony her veil was whipping all around, she tried to rip it out of her head and a guest even jumped up to help but it was secured in her hair a little too well. It wasnβt until the recessional when she was able to remove and get rid of it haha. She handled it with humor and everyone got a kick out of it.
This was the most laid back βfull wedding dayβ Iβve ever experienced and thatβs exactly what they wanted. Doing things their own way with limited stress and traditions was very important to them. She made this clear to me on our first phone call as well as in her timeline questionnaire and I made sure to follow suit. The guest list was intimate and many were able to stay on the property in cabins at The Alexander. The property was sprawling, gorgeous and peaceful. This helped create a weekend experience for everyone present. They didnβt have a wedding party but did a first look and exchanged their own vows privately. We got most of the things done prior to the ceremony so they were able to experience the entire cocktail hour and enjoy everyoneβs company. The Peached Tortilla catered (one of my faves) and it was a family style meal which I love because no one had to leave their seat. Instead, they can continue socializing and enjoying the moment.
Their day was a joy to be a part of. Remember a wedding day can look however you want it to. I love how they leaned into that and crafted a day that truly felt like them.
From Jessica:
It was an absolute delight working with Lauren for our engagement session and wedding! My husband and I highly recommend her. What immediately caught my eye in terms of her style was that her gallery was full of beautiful candid shots and warm tones.
We both feel awkward in front of a camera and Lauren made us feel SO comfortable. She does an amazing job directing the shoot while also making it feel as if you're just hanging out.
