A throwback to the time the lovely Hannah, joined me to play with paint at Craft Austin.

As photographers we have done this hundreds, if not thousands of times. We know how to direct, we know the most popular poses by memory and we even know what to say to get a certain reaction from you; but when there is total mutual trust between us, you get the good stuff, and we can forget the rest.

This has been on my bucket list for as long as I can remember. I have written it on my calendar for the last 4 years and I’ve removed it every time because I just couldn’t make it work. This year I finally put my foot down and I’m so happy I did! Seeing the sky full of hundreds of colorful hot air balloons was such a cool experience.

I have always had a thing for color theory and when I noticed this tree in my neighborhood on my daily walk with my dogs, I was stunned. It’s rare to see these kinds of colors in Austin but I’ll take any chance I can get! I googled it and apparently it’s called a Chinese Pistache tree, and it’s officially my favorite.

Instead of taking engagements with me, a month before their wedding we did a first look and portrait session at Pedernales Falls State Park near Dripping Springs, Texas. They love the outdoors and wanted to take their time getting all the photos they wanted while being immersed in nature.

You can ask anyone to take a quick photo of you on your phone while on vacation, but what if you had beautiful photos to commemorate the experience for years to come? My partner and I visited his home country of Scotland and we booked an adventure session on the Isle of Skye. It was worth every penny and I want to make sure everyone knows the benefits of booking a vacation photoshoot.

Amanda is a returning client. The first time I met her I took her college senior portraits. She picked me up as a stranger and after a few hours of getting lost and hopping fences in Round Top, TX we were friends. It's always exciting when she lands in my inbox with a concept. This shoot was done close to Halloween and she wanted something mystical, moody and little bit witchy. Think - Dark Lady by Cher in the playlist and a girl who loves New Orleans. Sekrit Theater was the perfect place to bring this vision to life. The space allowed me to step out of my comfort zone and shoot in very low light during the second half of the shoot. It was a blast and I can't wait till her next idea hits my inbox.

Former Texas Aggies Will and Brook moved to Raleigh, North Carolina because he is in the Air Force. To celebrate their first wedding anniversary, they wanted to get dressed up again and go to the Smoky Mountains! Brook had been following me on instagram for awhile and knew I was down to travel, so we made it happen.

The back story: they were scheduled to get married April 2020 at the height of lockdowns. They decided to elope at the courthouse and postpone the full wedding. A year rolls by and they changed their mind and asked to trade their wedding day coverage for a couple of shoots, one of them being at the wedding venue. I said, of course!

He loves to drive his corvette down the canopy road and ride around the ranch with their dog Katie. They are getting older and decided to move closer to their grandchildren so they recently sold the ranch to some of my friends. As a result, a beautiful relationship has formed between them as they’re passing down a legacy to a new family to enjoy.

I got to shoot my childhood best friends maternity session at Mission San Jose in San Antonio, Texas! This was a beautiful day to shoot these two soon to be parents even with the harsh sunlight from having to reschedule to the afternoon. Mission San Jose is the perfect picturesque backdrop for your next maternity session!
