Dark and Moody Wedding at The Allan House
Let’s start with things I love about this wedding! The moody, gem tones and the major focus on details. The artistic florals. The fun fashion and nontraditional vibes. And finally, the venue, The Allan House. The way this wedding came together was absolutely perfect. I loved getting to see the way Amanda and Gino incorporated their own style throughout the wedding!
The Allan House
It was a beautiful day in January for an outdoor wedding at The Allan House. Nestled right in the heart of downtown, its old world charm encourages you to forget you're walking distance from modern skyscrapers.
Moody and Dramatic Design
Amanda and Gino love color and her favorite word is “dramatic.” These are definitely my people.
The design featured deep gem tones, fruit on the tables and velvet accents - with floral design by Tiffany of Ida Mayes Floral which teeters on art installation over wedding florals. I'm a huge fan of everything she creates but especially with color. The vibrant colors popped against the neutral tones of The Allan House.
Edgy Wedding Looks
The fashion felt urban cowboy with an edge. I loved that the wedding party all had their own vibe while Gino rocked the green suit and Amanda wore a satin gown paired with burgundy velvet lace up heeled boots. It was SO them.
A Night to Remember
They loved The Allan House but wanted to do something different for couples portraits so we walked the block instead, using the outside of a church and alleyways.
Aside from the design, what I will always remember about this day was how much fun all of their people were! Everyone rallied all night and the dance floor was packed. Their wedding invitation said “An absolutely wild evening to follow” and the reception lived up to that!
