A black tie, garden party wedding at Woodbine Mansion in Round Rock, TX where the wisteria was in full bloom and the vibes were immaculate.
Woodbine and it’s historical charm was the perfect location for their swanky affair. There was a variety of greenery, a clear top tent with twinkle lights and a band that only played grunge and 90s rock. The Motts were SO MUCH FUN. Hunter’s brother even jumped on stage to play a song, Ashley and Hunter crowd surfed and the dance floor was packed all night long.

When shooting, energy is exchanged. Yes, as photographers we are there to direct and lead the way but it should truly be a collaboration; even if I’m the one doing all the talking. Sometimes the collaboration on your end can be unspoken.
At times I have detected this uncomfortable feeling looming over me. When others look to me with closed off and constricted energy, waiting for me to pull a rabbit out of my hat on the spot. Almost as if to say, “now create something incredible!” because that’s what they’ve seen online.
Festival Themed Austin Wedding
You know what’s beautiful to witness? People owning who they are. They described their festival wedding day as “tastefully traditional and refreshingly unconventional.” Held at their friends’ private ranch, Eclipse Event Co. absolutely transformed the place into an outdoor venue. It was full of color and sequins and all the guests participated. We were most impressed with how intentional every detail and every person was. I’ve documented almost 100 weddings and I’ve never felt presence from a crowd quite like this.
Witchy Inspired Shoot at Sekrit Theater in Austin, Texas
Amanda is a returning client. The first time I met her I took her college senior portraits. She picked me up as a stranger and after a few hours of getting lost and hopping fences in Round Top, TX we were friends. It's always exciting when she lands in my inbox with a concept. This shoot was done close to Halloween and she wanted something mystical, moody and little bit witchy. Think - Dark Lady by Cher in the playlist and a girl who loves New Orleans. Sekrit Theater was the perfect place to bring this vision to life. The space allowed me to step out of my comfort zone and shoot in very low light during the second half of the shoot. It was a blast and I can't wait till her next idea hits my inbox.

Imagine, it’s 2017. She’s in New Orleans. He’s in San Diego. He sees her on “friends you may know” on Facebook. He slides in her DMs with a freestyle rap asking for a FaceTime date. Two weeks later he flies to meet her in person and even hangs out with her family and they knew it was the start of something special.
Intimate Wedding at Peterson Dumesnil House Louisville, Kentucky
They hosted around 30 people at the historical Peterson Dumesnil House in their hometown of Louisville, Kentucky. There were black details with gold accents and rich jewel tone florals. Blake designed all the paper and signage and Jacquelyn looked straight out of an old film with her smooth silhouette and hollywood waves. It was the epitome of classic and timeless with just enough of a modern twist.

The back story: they were scheduled to get married April 2020 at the height of lockdowns. They decided to elope at the courthouse and postpone the full wedding. A year rolls by and they changed their mind and asked to trade their wedding day coverage for a couple of shoots, one of them being at the wedding venue. I said, of course!

Former Texas Aggies Will and Brook moved to Raleigh, North Carolina because he is in the Air Force. To celebrate their first wedding anniversary, they wanted to get dressed up again and go to the Smoky Mountains! Brook had been following me on instagram for awhile and knew I was down to travel, so we made it happen.
Lovers at Central Texas Ranch
He loves to drive his corvette down the canopy road and ride around the ranch with their dog Katie. They are getting older and decided to move closer to their grandchildren so they recently sold the ranch to some of my friends. As a result, a beautiful relationship has formed between them as they’re passing down a legacy to a new family to enjoy.

Dani and Ryan's intimate wedding at the St. Anthony in San Antonio turned out to be the most gorgeous day with their closest family and friends! After having to move their date and downsize their guest content, they opted for an intimate ceremony on the rooftop of the St. Anthony which Dani's grandpa was the Maître d’Hôtel in the 60s.
Treehouse Proposal in Atlanta, Georgia Airbnb
An intimate couples sessions turned surprise proposal in the most magical treehouse I have ever seen! I met Brooke in 2018 and wondered if we would ever have the chance to meet up again. Fast forward to 2019 and she contacted me about capturing a weekend getaway with her boyfriend at a treehouse they had booked. One hour prior Trey let me know he would be proposing and I got to capture it!!
